About this site
Drop Table is an independent news site focused on covering the modern data ecosystem. It was started by me, Matt Leonard; my day job is data engineer and in a past life I was a journalist covering beats like government IT and supply chain. On this site, I hope to combine those two skills to better understand – for myself and whoever reads this – what is happening with the tools and methods for moving and understanding data.

How I use LLMs on this site
No LLMs are used to write the text on this site. The story text on this site is from a human mind that is trying to understand the world in which it lives. LLMs will be used in the process of creating code for demos, charts, data gathering and potential automations. Where LLMs are used, it will be noted.
